Mirror Fronted Jewellery Box l195 Inspired by traditional designsJiangsu, circa 1920 Crafted in Jiangsu province, between the cities of Shanghai and Suzhou, these foldable wooden boxes incorporate a reflective mirror inside that can be conveniently angled upwards. The interiors have two shallow drawers that provided storage for the cosmetics and jewellery of the high ranking women who originally owned them. The boxes are also detailed on the front with a small, inset mirror, while handles on the top were designed
